Job Description

Take ownership, be accountable and reliable. Ensure that all SETA & legislative reporting requirements and are met both in terms of content and deadlines. Submit accurate Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports. Ensure skills levies are recouped in line with the Skills Development Levies Act. Implement and monitor all recoverable grants and service fees in association with the Learnership program and ensure maximum recoverable grants are achieved as per the service level agreement with the relevant SETA’s. Coordinate the Learnership project, partnering with business and the Head of Department to ensure successful implementation of the program. Design and monitor opportunities for future learnership programmes in alignment with business requirements. Monitor and continually review progress of learners as per the Learnership program ensuring that all milestones are met within the allocated timeframe. Liaise with the Head of Department where the learner selection process has not met the minimum number for FTE as planned, so that the Head of Department can respond accordingly. Ensure that the facilitator, assessors and moderators understand the scope of work and timeous delivery to ensure effective execution of the Learnership program. Conduct regular feedback sessions with the Head of Department and proactively agree on mechanisms to ensure that the learners gain the skills and experience to successfully complete the NQF qualification. Liaise with the various Business Units to plan any additional training requi4red that will result in off-phone activity during the Learnership. Ensure integrated practices, processors and programs, whilst ensuring compliance to all legislative requirements. Coordinate all evaluation of portfolios of evidence (POE’s) and assist learners in gaining access to any information required to successfully complete their POE’s. Ensure that all attendance register are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Keep record of all assessments results and POE’s. Coordinate and manage all Final Summative Assessments. Ensure that our training provider status (accreditation) is maintained. Track and report on SET related funding on a monthly basis. Monitor training spend and report on Skills development aspects for BBBEE reporting. Ensure that all data presented for tracking, reporting and analysis purposes are accurate so that we can utilize the information gained to make effective talent development decisions. Ensure that all daily, weekly, monthly reports are maintained and updated on a regular basis. Regularly report the HR Manager on progress of the Learnership program. Manager any SETA led initiative as approved by the business including Learnerships, workplace skills opportunities and pivotal programmes. Communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with stakeholders on all skills development and learnerships to deliver elegant people solutions.

Qualifications

Grade 12. SDF Accreditation. OD-ETDP (Occupationally Directed Education Training Practice) level 5 certification.

Skills

Minimum of 3 years Talent Development experience with a focus on driving and managing Skills Development initiatives. Competent in Skills Development strategies (e.g. learnerships, Skills programmes, ETQA, skills levies and SETA function). Extensive knowledge of SETA’s and legislative bodies. A thorough understanding of the roles, involvement and operational regulations of the National Qualifications Framework, South African Qualifications Authority, Skills development Act. In depth knowledge of the skills development framework and associated legislation (E.g. SDA, SDLA, Employment Equity Act (Codes of Good Practice related to EE and B-BBEE), Labour Relations Act and SAQA Act. Excellent understanding and implementation of talent acquisition policies, procedures and best practices. Competent in MS Office packages, particularly MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Analytical & detail focused – driven to achieve new standards of excellence.
