General Placement Procedures
The following general procedures are followed by consultants when
placing a candidate:-

Consultant searches on database for applicants
who comply with the job specification

Consultant contacts applicant and discusses
the position with him/her

Consultant submits applicant's CV to the
company

Consultant arranges an interview between
the Applicant and the Company
Note: The time period for submission of CV to a prospective
employer and an interview or even job offer depends solely on
the prospective employer and can take days to even months
- If no suitable applicants are on the database, PROFESSIONAL
CAREER SERVICES will advertise and interview applicants
Processing of Job Applicants
- Applicant calls/emails/faxes a CV in response to an advert or
recommendation.

Consultant interviews suitable applicant.

CV is transferred onto PROFESSIONAL
CAREER SERVICES computerised database.

All applicants are accessible to all PROFESSIONAL
CAREER SERVICES Consultants. Therefore DO NOT send
your CV to more than one consultant.

The consultant who interviewed you initially
will be your consultant.

Any CV updates must be sent to your
consultant.

Your Consultant might also market your CV
(without divulging your name and current employer) to selected
companies.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER SERVICES
also submits lists of short summaries of applicants to companies
on a regular basis to market selected applicants.
What to bring with you when you come for an interview
- Copy of recent payslip.
- Copy of all certificates, diplomas, degrees.
- Proof of registration with professional Bodies/Societies.
- Proof of residence or work permit if you are not a South African
Citizen.
