Job Description
Your responsibilities will be the following:
Provide technical sales support and solutions for flow-related equipment in the pulp & paper and chemical industries.
Work with key clients in the region, ensuring customer satisfaction and sales growth.
Identify and research potential clients
Develop and maintain client relationships
Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals
Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders
Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed
Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to support lead generation and conversion efforts.
Track and report on business development activities, including pipeline management, sales forecasts, and revenue projections.
Stay updated on industry trends and developments and share insights with internal teams.
Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand our presence and reach.
Provide input and support for strategic planning and business development initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of business development strategies and initiatives, making recommendations for improvement.
Support the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and positive experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address client needs and resolve issues effectively.
Qualifications
Mechanical or Instrumentation apprenticeship or extensive experience in flow-related equipment
N6 or N Diploma (Mechanical Engineering Technician) will be advantageous.
Skills
Have a min. of 5 years’ experience on manual and control valves or flow-related equipment / instrumentation.
Have a min. of 5 years’ technical sales experience within the pulp & paper and chemical industries and have extensive experience with Mondi, Mpact, Sappi, and Foskor.
Have the ability to review client flow-related applications or problems and offer long-term TCO-related solutions.
Have very good computer experience using MS Office including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook (Office 365).
Have a proven track record handling technical sales & an excellent knowledge of the sales cycle
Salary/Package
R40,000 – R50,000 CTC PM
