A dynamic and prestigious hospitality property in Pretoria is looking for an experienced Reservations Manager to join their team.
Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling all hotel bookings (individual, groups, conference and accommodation booking, events and restaurant bookings.)
  • Working hand in hand with the online revenue manager to control all the online travel agent (OTA) e.g Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda and Hotelbeds and our website.
  • Daily yielding based on the occupancy as well as the rates board outside the hotel.
  • Marking all No-shows every morning.
  • Loading all the negotiated rates on our PMS system
  • Prepare Monthly reports for the General Manager
  • Follow up on pre-payments, vouchers, purchase orders and credit card payments and account receival (debtors)
  • Meet weekly with accounts to discuss cash flow (pre-payments e.t.)
  • Daily revenue charges (Conference, Events, big groups that are not inclusive Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
  • Check all daily conference set up and meet and greet the clients.
  • Follow up on quote and telesales.
  • Daily room allocation and hand over the back up to Front office Manager.
  • Handling all direct billing and hand over to Front office Manager to direct bill and send invoices to the client.
  • Preparing weekly forecast, activity report from Mon – Sun and function sheets.
  • Organize function sheet meeting with all HOD’s and hand over activity reports and function sheets weekly
Qualifications

Hospitality Qualification or similar

Skills

1. Customer Service & Communication:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships.

2. Sales & Upselling:

  • Knowledge of sales techniques to maximize bookings and revenue.
  • Ability to upsell packages, room upgrades, and additional services.

3. Organizational & Time Management:

  • Strong multitasking skills to manage multiple reservations efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail to avoid booking errors and over-bookings.
Salary/Package
R 20 000 – R30 000
