Job Description

A Digital SEO, Copywriter & Digital PR Specialist is responsible for crafting high-quality, search-optimized content while executing digital PR strategies to enhance brand visibility, drive organic traffic, and boost engagement. This role combines creative storytelling, SEO expertise, and digital PR outreach to strengthen a company’s online presence and authority across various platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy & Creation
    • Develop original, engaging, and SEO-friendly content for blogs, websites, landing pages, social media, and digital marketing materials.
    • Ensure content aligns with brand voice, audience needs, and SEO best practices.
    • Maintain accuracy by fact-checking data, statistics, and expert statements.
    • Optimize copy for readability, keyword integration, and search intent.
  • SEO Optimization & Keyword Strategy
    • Conduct keyword research using digital tools to identify relevant search terms and trends.
    • Implement on-page SEO techniques, including keyword placement, meta descriptions, alt texts, and internal linking strategies.
    • Collaborate with developers and marketing teams to enhance technical SEO elements like site structure and page speed.
  • Digital PR & Outreach
    • Develop and execute digital PR campaigns to increase brand visibility and secure high-quality backlinks.
    • Build relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers to generate media coverage and guest posting opportunities.
    • Create compelling press releases, thought leadership articles, and media pitches to position the brand as an industry authority.
    • Monitor online mentions, brand reputation, and PR campaign performance.
  • Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor content and PR performance using analytics tools to assess rankings, traffic, engagement, and media coverage.
    • Analyze click-through rates (CTR), bounce rates, conversion data, and earned media to refine content and PR strategies.
    • Adapt and optimize existing content and outreach strategies based on performance insights and industry trends.
  • Collaboration & Editorial Review
    • Work closely with editors, designers, marketing, and PR teams to ensure cohesive brand messaging.
    • Revise copy based on feedback to meet brand guidelines and editorial standards.
    • Assist in selecting visuals and multimedia elements to complement written content.

Skills
  • Exceptional Writing & Storytelling – Ability to craft persuasive, audience-centric content that engages and informs.
  • SEO & Digital Marketing Expertise – Strong understanding of keyword research, on-page/off-page SEO, and SERP algorithms.
  • Digital PR & Media Outreach – Experience in securing media coverage, building relationships with journalists, and leveraging PR for SEO benefits.
  • Data-Driven Mindset – Proficiency with Google Analytics, SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs), and PR monitoring tools.
  • Creativity & Innovation – Ability to identify content gaps, develop unique angles, and create compelling PR campaigns.
  • Adaptability & Feedback Integration – Openness to editorial feedback and ability to adjust content for better performance.
  • B2B experience essential
  • WordPress essential – must be able to edit website content
Salary/Package
R360 000 – R480 000 depending on experience and qualifications
