Giving interesting and memorable educational tours to create an emotional bond between visitors and the lodge as well as supporting special events, exhibitions and workshops.
Providing administrative support to the Education Team Manager on giving aim and direction to all education activities to promote animal welfare aligned with the organization’s principles.
Participating in the development and implementation of the organization’s education concept and programmes.
Assisting with special educational and hospitality-related events, tasks and functions.
Be an ambassador for the lodge and its initiatives, raise awareness about animal welfare and educate guests about the organization and activities conducted at the lodge
Implementing health and safety measures to ensure the safety of visitors, animals and staff on all tours and other educational activities.
Qualifications
First years’ experience in tour guiding, learning facilitation, practice in animal welfare and/or environmental education, conservation, ecotourism or related fields.
Educational background in relevant fields.
FGASA and First Aid certification will be an added advantage.
A valid Driver’s License Code B or above with PDP
Skills
Experience and knowledge of visitor services.
Knowledge of animal welfare issues.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Proficiency in basic computer skills.
Great affinity to animal welfare
