Job Description
Your responsibilities will be the following:
The Senior Energy Efficiency Electrician/Energy Auditor is responsible for managing installations, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within buildings and structures.
Energy auditing, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and assisting with business development in pursuit of Energy Service Company (ESCO) contracts.
Qualifications
Minimum – Degree in Electrical Engineering
ECSA – Professional Engineer/candidate.
Completed CEM or CEA course (desirable)
PV Green card – (advantageous)
Wireman’s license/registered with the Department of Labor (advantageous)
Skills
At least 10 years’ experience in electrical installations within managing electrical installations, energy efficiency, metering, lighting, and Solar PV Projects – Mandatory (at least one)
Efficiency Auditing
Meter Audits
Installation and programming of meters
Ability to read and interpret single line diagrams and electrical drawings.
Sufficient knowledge of lighting systems, electricity smart meters, lighting control systems, Solar PV, Battery, and inverter systems.
Understanding of energy savings
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
Understanding of electricity metering and communication technologies
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent management of staff and sub-contractors.
Sufficient understanding of SANS 10142 and SANS 10114-1, SANS 10389-1, and SANS 10098-1
Valid driver’s license
Salary/Package
R50,000 – R60,000 PM (Neg)
