Job Description
Your responsibilities will be the following:
Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems within buildings and structures.
Energy auditing and assisting with business development in pursuit of Energy Service Company (ESCO) contracts.
Qualifications
Minimum qualification of a Diploma in Electrical Engineering/equivalent
Have a wireman’s license/registered with the Department of Labor OR in the process of obtaining one (with proof of application)
PV Green card – Advantageous but not Mandatory.
Desirable but not mandatory – completed CEM or CEA course.
Skills
At least 3 years’ experience in electrical installations within energy efficiency, metering, lighting, and Solar PV Projects
Efficiency Auditing
Meter Audits
Installation and programming of meters
Ability to read and interpret single line diagrams and electrical drawings.
Sufficient knowledge of lighting systems, electricity smart meters, lighting control systems, Solar PV, Battery, and inverter systems.
Understanding of energy savings
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
Understanding of electricity metering and communication technologies
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Sufficient understanding of SANS 10142 and SANS 10114-1, SANS 10389-1, and SANS 10098-1
Salary/Package
R35,000 – R45,000 PM
