Preparation and review of design and construction documentation including, but not limited to data analysis, reviewing drawings and preparing client reports.
Construction monitoring and audits inclusive of inspections for compliance to specifications, standards, and designs, construction payment measurements and certificates, factory and site acceptance tests, commissioning, etc.
Implementation and management of quality assurance and quality control procedures on projects.
Managing projects to the required quality, duration, and cost.
Qualifications
A Mechanical Engineering qualification (BTech minimum, BSc/BEng preferred)
Skills
Professionally registered (ECSA) with Min 5+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering in the building services environment which includes, heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning and wet services
Experience in any of the following fields is optional but advantageous: fire protection, vertical transportation, refrigeration, piped gas services (medical gases and liquefied petroleum gas), building management systems, industrial mechanical engineering services (water and wastewater plants), and project management
Sound knowledge and application of local and international standards, as well as relevant legislation applicable to projects with emphasis on project safety
The candidate must be willing to travel to project sites
Must have a valid driver’s licence.
