Job Description

Our client is seeking a dynamic Catering Supervisor to join their team in managing operations for one of their contracted clients. The role involves overseeing multiple outlets, including two cafeterias, a convenience shop, a coffee shop, as well as catering services and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations across all food service outlets.
  • Ensure all outlets (cafeterias, coffee shop, convenience store, events) run efficiently and meet service standards.
  • Monitor food preparation and presentation to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Supervise and schedule catering staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction across all outlets.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Oversee stock levels, order supplies and manage inventory for all locations.
  • Conduct regular stock takes and ensure proper storage of food and beverages.
  • Minimize waste and monitor usage to control costs.
  • Ensure all hygiene, health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Conduct regular audits and checks to maintain compliance with food safety standards.
  • Train staff on proper food handling and safety procedures.
  • Assist with budgeting, cost control and profitability of all outlets.
  • Plan and coordinate catering for internal and external events.
  • Liaise with clients and event planners to ensure service requirements are met.
  • Supervise setup, service and breakdown for events.
  • Collaborate with chefs on menu development and seasonal offerings.
  • Provide regular feedback and reports to senior management.

Hospitality qualification or similar

Salary/Package
R12 000 – R13 000 depending on experience
