Our client a well-established resort located in Mpumalanga is looking for a dynamic and experienced Executive Chef to join the team and to take full leadership of the kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a team of 4 cooks and 1 outsourced cleaner
Full kitchen administration: stock ordering, food costing, and month-end reporting
Maintain high food quality standards across all service styles
Manage and plan menus for daily dining and functions
Handle last-minute bookings and adjust kitchen operations accordingly
Culinary Qualification
Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a similar 4-star environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Proficient in any Food & Beverage operating system (Apex, PlusPoint, or similar)
Solid food costing and stock control experience
Comfortable handling buffet, Ã la carte, plated service and set menus
Flexible and hands-on, able to adapt to operational needs
Work Cycle: 1 day off per week (dependent on business needs)
Accommodation: 2-bedroom unfurnished unit (live-in) – can accommodate spouse & child in accommodation but cannot offer employment
