Our client specializes in operations, maintenance and project services.
Job Description
  • Reporting to the Regional Manager, You will be responsible for managing, guiding, and mentoring the region’s maintenance team consisting of maintenance technicians as well as artisans and support staff.
Qualifications
  • A BEng/BTech in Mechanical Engineering
  • GMR 2.1 required
Skills
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a maintenance management role is essential
  • A technical understanding of mechanical, electrical and control systems within heavy industry – Boilers preferably
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor technical staff
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets
  • Project management experience will be beneficial
  • Excellent abilities in technical report writing
  • Strong administrative experience in shut planning, procurement of maintenance items, handling of vendors, etc.
  • Computer literate (MS Office) with experience in an engineering asset management system
  • In depth knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act of South Africa is beneficial
  • Good command of English (Speak, read, write)
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends
  • Reliable vehicle with valid driver’s license.
Salary/Package
R60K – R65K CTC per month
