Job Description

Our client a safari company operating across six hunting camps is looking for a meticulous and highly organized Reservation & Booking Consultant. This is a key role supporting the smooth coordination of up to 600 international clients annually. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing bookings, permits, professional hunter schedules and financial documentation requiring strong administrative, financial and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all client bookings across six safari camps, managing the full reservation process from initial enquiry to departure.
  • Communicate professionally with international clients regarding itineraries, requirements, travel details and logistics.
  • Manage all necessary hunting permits and licenses, ensuring legal compliance for each booking.
  • Maintain and update the master booking sheet and calendar.
  • Coordinate and align Professional Hunter schedules with incoming clients throughout the year.
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure all aspects of each safari are accurately planned and executed.
  • Handle all invoicing, payment tracking and manage financial records for each client.
  • Perform full bookkeeping duties, including reconciliations, reporting and managing multi-currency payments.
  • Monitor exchange rates and manage foreign currency transactions appropriately.
  • Provide administrative support related to client documentation, transport arrangements and internal planning.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a reservations, bookings or administrative finance role – preferably within tourism, hospitality or safari industries
  • Qualification in Tourism, Office Administration or Financial Management.
  • Strong Excel experience and knowledge
  • Familiarity with the safari/hunting tourism environment.
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and hands-on experience with financial systems.
  • Comfortable working with foreign currencies and international payments.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability – this role manages a high volume of bookings.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience handling permits, licenses and regulatory documentation is a strong advantage.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize effectively and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Salary/Package
R30 000 – R40 000 depending on experience
