Our client is a supplier of frozen food products to the South African Industrial Market.

Job Description

My client is looking for a FOOD TECHNOLOGIST who has gone into TECHNICAL SALES.  The main purpose of the position is to generate increased sales through Business-to-Business sales focus. The ideal candidate will have spent a few years in Product Development and then went into Technical Sales and has a great understnaidng of the Food Industry.  You will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintain and increase sales to the existing customer base around Western and Eastern Cape
  • Create Sales Budget for regional customers and monitor turnover against it
  • Customer visits and follow ups
  • Assess market and identify trends
  • Calculate own sales based on the market prices

Qualifications

Degree in Food Science or equivalent (pre-requisite) At least 4 years of proven B2B experience in the Food Industry.  Familiarity with the food industry's rules and regulations.  Must have own reliable car

Salary / Package

R450 000 negotiable depending on experience
