A large Resort located in Mpumalanga. The kitchen can cater for up to 1500 pax at a time. 130 Rooms and 10 Conference/Function Venues/rooms.
This candidate will report directly to the Executive Chef. Duties will include hands-on supervision of operations and production within the kitchen. Overseeing quality and meeting of deadlines for function and service requirements. Strong Banqueting experience required but also capable in a la carte service. Management of staff. Assisting with Training of Staff. Assist with Stock Control and orders as and when required. Assist with Menu Planning. Proven stable track record within a similar position in a similar resort set up required.
Formal Professional Cookery/Culinary Arts Diploma.
A proven track record within a Resort Banqueting Kitchen. Able to meet deadlines. Punctual and Reliable. Good Leadership skills. Good communication skills. Exceptional Culinary/Cooking Skills. Must be hands-on operationally and be able to assist with kitchen administration as required.
R15000-R25000 Negotiable dependent on experience and whether live in or live out
Accommodation can be provided. The chef can also live out if preferred.
