A busy 300 seater Restaurant that is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, 7 days per week. The restaurant is located in the East Rand. Operating hours of the restaurant are from 7am to 10pm currently but over weekends after lockdown the operation runs until 12pm. The restaurant has live entertainment over weekends.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant General Manager.

Main Duties will include:

  • Manage complete restaurant operations.
  • Manage approx. 40-50 staff members and ensure their duties are being done correctly.
  • Opening and Closing procedures
  • Stock and Cost Controls.
  • Willing and able to work long hours.
  • Must be able to handle high volume, fast-paced 300 seater restaurant.
  • Will be responsible for day to day operations and Client relations.
  • Must have  good knowledge of the kitchen and bar for new menu development when required.

Qualifications

Relevant Hospitality/Food and Beverage Qualifications will prove an advantage.

Skills

At least 5 years’ experience in a General Manager position for a restaurant. Strong operations Management Skills. Solutions Driven individual. Able to work with discerning and sometimes difficult clientele.  Strong Cost and Stock Control.

Salary / Package

R25,000 to R30,000 neg depending on experience
