Job Description

This  Diesel  Co-Ordinator position for a Logistics Company is a challenging role with lots of scope & opportunity to show your abilities & to make a difference.

You will be responsible for driving the diesel project, recruiting new contractors and issuing new diesel orders.

Duties will include:

• Find and identify contactors that might be ideal for the Diesel solution package. This will include visits to vehicle gathering sites e.g. truck stops to identify possible new transporters.

• Selling of the diesel solution package to the respective contractors.

• Day-to-day issuing of diesel orders to the contractors.

• Corresponding with contractors and salespersons to ensure that loads have been released and collecting POD’s as evidence.

• Planning of diesel orders to ensure that nearest and best filling station are used, and trucks have diesel to complete orders.

• Monthly reconciliation of loads vs diesel orders and calculating the admin fees per contractor.

 

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

• Relevant Diploma / Degree in Logistics
• Driver's License and Own Transport

Skills

You will have at least 2 years' experience as a Diesel Co-Ordinator within a Logistics Environment and have:

• Good communication with internal and external clients.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organising and prioritising skills.
• Ability to work in a systematic, methodical and orderly way in order to consistently achieve goals.
• Computer literate and able to work with MS Office.
• Ability to work accurately and give attention to detail.
• Takes responsibility for actions and projects.
• Ability to establish good relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work productively in a pressurised environment.
• Accepts and tackles demanding goals with enthusiasm, works hard and puts in longer hours when it is necessary.

• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Strong numerical reasoning ability; accurately work with calculations.
