Job Description

We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to manage a restaurant, with a grocery and deli department. Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Kitchen Manager in a franchise environment (like Mugg n Bean, Tashas or similar type of upmarket restaurant franchise). It is an exciting & challenging position. You will be responsible for the following:
Leading & directing the team in order to meet targets, such as food cost, profit, quality control and strict hygiene standards. Coordinate and manage a busy kitchen operation (8-9 staff). Proactively take appropriate action when required – solutions driven. Efficiently manage & control all operational activities, including expenses, stock management, shrinkage, general housekeeping and administration. Assist in the management of the strategic and day to day operations of the Restaurant and Deli. Must be a systems driven individual.

Qualifications

Relevant Hospitality Qualifications will prove an advantage, but experience and know-how are more important in this role.

Skills

Good food cost, stock control knowledge and experience. The restaurant works on a POS system called Platinum. This role will involve FOH and BOH management and setting up of systems and policies and problem solving. Good leadership and management skills. Great Customer relations. This will mostly be a day shift role with 1-2 nights per week.
