Job Description

The Camp Manager is responsible for the day-to-day logistics for the smooth operation of the Field Guide College. This includes the daily supervision of specific staff as well as support for the students.
Ensure that the day-to-day operations are running smoothly, including managing kitchen and housekeeping staff at the college. Fulfill the HR duties for the Chef, Housekeeping and Trainers, including accurate capturing of leave. Complete all camp admin to ensure it is up to date & filed correctly. Accountable for monthly petty cash & credit card allocations with the applicable reporting. Liaise with and support students at camp, ensure that the bookshop is well stocked with the relevant material. Ensure that the campus is consistently neat & presentable. Look after day-to-day preventative maintenance and assisting with general maintenance. Responsible for initial email communication with Group Sales Manager. Assist with Visa & PrDP application forms are sent to prospect students timeously. Assist with the kick-off arrangements prior to each intake.  Assist with the website and social media activities as required. Ensure that theory exam details are organized well in time for & then submitting the exam papers & assessments to FGASA ahead of deadlines. Ensure that each students portfolio of evidence is constantly updated and filed both online and offline, according to CATTHSETA requirements. Process and issue each student’s certificates and performance cards at the end of each intake Consistently strive towards being the number one Field
Guide Training Institution in the country. Create a safe, happy, and fun learning and living environment for students and staff.


Grade 12 (essential). FGASA Level 1 (advantageous).


Qualification in related field (advantageous). Previous administrative/supervisory experience (essential). Min 1 year experience working in the bush (advantageous). MS Office Suite. Passion and communicate well.
