A beautiful Private Game Reserve located in the Limpopo (NOT BIG 5). The diverse topography of the reserve enables it to naturally sustain over 40 species of game including giraffe, white rhino, sable antelope, roan antelope, buffalo, nyala, gemsbok (oryx), kudu, Livingstone eland, blue wildebeest (gnu), red hartebeest, zebra, impala, bushbuck, duiker, steenbuck, mountain reedbuck, waterbuck, warthog, blesbuck, baboons, bushpig, klipspringer, leopard, jackal, brown hyena, caracal, civet and genet. Get close to the wildlife on horseback, in a game vehicle or on foot. For those horse riders who are passionate about birds, there are well over 300 species of resident and migrant birds.

Job Description

We are seeking guides for a beautiful reserve in Limpopo (Waterberg area). Horse experience and/or are willing to learn with the horses this is an extra bonus. Looking for an active guide willing to do all the activities we have on offer here, from horse riding to mountain biking, fishing, game drives and guided walks. All our guides are cross trained in different areas of the lodge and reserve, when there are no guests they will be expected to help with maintenance and any other work required around the lodge and reserve. Guides are expected to host guest sundowners, lunches and dinners.

 

Qualifications

FGASA level 1 minimum, first aid, PDP.

Skills

Active. Strong Communication skills. Good Command of the English Language. Must ideally have some Horse Guiding experience or be interested in same (must like horses).

Salary / Package

R4500 – R5500 per month depending on experience.
