Job Description

Job Purpose

To cover in-house design solutions and the strategic management of the digital and online presence of Company using a mix of creative skills to create high visual marketing material for websites, social media, advertising, posters, exhibitions, displays, corporate (internal and external) communications, presentations, and corporate identity.

Dimensions

The incumbent assumes overall responsibility for the social media platforms and websites of the business and any digital in-house design work.

Key Result Areas

Online

Develop and form an online insight driven strategy for Company’s various online and social media platforms.

Implement and monitor the company’s Social Media strategy to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts to create a loyal audience of engaged customers where the goal is to increase and drive sales out of stores and online.

The online responsibilities include: growing audiences on social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Tik Tok and Instagram. Along with maintaining a posting schedule, you will also regularly create platform-specific content including text posts, videos, and graphics.

Perform and enhance search capabilities through keywords and Meta tags / google etc.

Track and update social media usage statistics and metrics.

Post on social media accounts – develop and create social media content, editing, monitoring online communities and channels.

Consult with business / Sales Director for project briefs and prepare mock-ups as per the requirements.

Produce the design and production for websites, product graphics, web logos, social media graphics and banners, static and rich banner ads, email campaigns, and email templates.

Translate product positioning, existing research, and offline/online Marketing strategies into effective designs.

Manage and produce digital design work.

Ensure consistency of brand and creative across digital customer touch points.

Provide design support to other departments to create product graphics, logos, identity design, or other similar offline graphics and assist with proof reading of documents where needed.

Assist with visual colour conceptualising of Trade projects.

Assist teams with re-design and upload of company technical data sheets to digital platforms.

Assist with internal communication platform digital design.

Main Working Relationships

Internal:

With the directors and management of Company, as well as colleagues, to ensure the effective implementation, management, and roll-out of social media strategies and digital projects are met.

External:

When meeting customers, to always promote and maintain good relations, be a brand ambassador and demonstrate the Company’s values.

Qualifications

Degree in digital design, graphic design, graphic communications, or related field.

Skills

The job requires a person who has at least 2 years of professional experience in developing social media strategies and professional design. Who is creative, adaptable to trends and conceptualise original ideas. Have a good eye for trends and an understanding of social media metrics. Good communication skills to accurately convey concepts. Ability to display social media expertise, providing recommendations, insights, and opinions. Be a skilled user of design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to time management and stick to deadlines. Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and MS Office program.    

Salary / Package

R20 - R25000 per month
