Job Description

You will be responsible for the design of predominantly structural related work. Other key responsibilities will include, inter alia:

• Completion of technical designs.
  • Compilation of tender documentation in various formats.
  • Management of projects and technical teams.
  • Leading projects in terms of overall project management.
  • Mentorship of junior technical staff in terms of design & engineering practices
  • Keeping up to date with software and design tools to assist with design
  • Must be prepared to work in the field

Qualifications

• BSc Civil
• PrEng

 

Skills

• Must have a minimum of 8 years relevant post-graduation experience in a consulting engineering environment including design, and contract documentation.
• Experience in bridge, seismic and temporary works design would be an advantage.
• Must have a thorough working knowledge of relevant design codes
• Experience with international design codes would be an advantage.
• Must be competent with modern structural analysis, design and drawing software, including AutoDesk, Prokon,  MS Project.
• Must be able to lead projects and manage other team members.
