An upmarket Country Estate with two Restaurants located on the outskirts of Durban.
Our client seeks a competent and well-experience Restaurants Manager to physically manage the day to day operations of two Restaurants on their property, one fine dining restaurant (40 to 50 seater) and one more casual dining restaurant (80-100 seater). Daily duties will include management of waiters and barman, Guest relations/Customer relations, Stock control and handling for all bars and the cellar, Issuing of Stock, Management of costs, Management of Cash Ups, Handling complaints and solving problems, ensuring food and drink service runs smoothly across both restaurants. Strong working knowledge of Micros/Opera essential. Must have strong wine knowledge in order to effectively manage wine cellar and recommend wines to patrons. Stable work record with contactable references (on landlines) required.
Relevant Food Service Management qualification essential. Wine Courses completed will prove extremely advantageous.
Sober working habits. Punctual and reliable. Efficient, pro-active and hands on. Able to work the industry hours that this role will demand. Micros working knowledge. Strong South African Wine knowledge and experience.
R25,000-R40,000 CTC per month dependent on level of experience
