Job Description

Reporting to the GM: Sales & Marketing, You will be responsible for:

  • Meeting and exceeding the sales budget by securing new business.
  • Drive the development of new markets to successfully gain market share and stay ahead of competitors.
  • Evaluate, change & adapt the sales approach to meet the business needs and that of
    prospective clients.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve sales budgets
  • Compile competitive tenders ensuring accurate pricing is taken into consideration
  • Negotiate contractual conditions with clients
  • Prepare tender budget
  • Assist in the preparation of press releases, market tracking & sales forecasts
  • Plan and manage the company’s presence in exhibitions and conferences
  • Assist and guide the project team in commercial & technical interpretation
  • Build client relationships that will be beneficial to the Company


  • A BEng /BTech in Engineering (Mechanical/Metallurgical/Electrical/Chemical)


  • 5 - 10 years experience within the smelting, mining or steelmaking industry
  • Knowledge of Ferro-Alloys and Ironmaking highly advantageous
  • Experience in design and project environment, with the ability to convert complex technical concepts to saleable products
  • Global economics and market analysis will be advantageous
  • Sufficient commercial experience to negotiate legally binding contracts
  • Understanding of process design
  • Understanding of I.o.T and digitalisation in relation to engineering
  • Project lifecycle knowledge essential
  • Advanced Excel knowledge

Salary / Package

R1,6m - R1,9m CTC per annum
