A leading insurance brokerage in the Chinese community in South Africa, is looking for a Healthcare Consultant/Broker. Their offices are located in Fourways.
Duties include:
Being the primary point of contact for clients.
Being responsible for client retention and growth of portfolio of clients (Business Development).
Being responsible for ensuring that all service level agreements and appointment letters are signed current and in place.
Being responsible for developing healthcare-related insightful programs, conducting healthcare-relate training and conducting induction training.
Ensuring that all administrative and regulatory matters relating to each client portfolio are up-to-date and in order.
Being responsible for relevant reports, information and data to all internal and external stakeholders, including executive reports.
Regular meetings with main stakeholders and staff.
Year-end revision planning which includes the following but not limited to, preparation of year-end newsletters, Executive training sessions, training schedules, presentations, and advice etc.
Negotiate with service providers
Escalated claims queries
Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Employer group book analytics
Responsible for benefit and cost comparisons as required and is able to review and make recommendations on subsidy modelling.
Stays abreast of industry and legislative changes and is able to discuss implications for employers and employees.
Being responsible for assisting more junior colleagues where applicable.
Being responsible for engaging in business development directly or indirectly to all business development efforts in the company.
Work Environment:
Client-facing via teams or on-site based. Open-plan office space available. Full time, 8-4:30, Mondays to Fridays
A recognized matric qualification. An NQF 5 or equivalent qualification in healthcare/healthcare administration. A relevant bachelor's degree from a reputable tertiary educational institution would be advantageous. gistration as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act and CMS. Accreditation on medical schemes - Discovery, Bonitas, Momentum, Fedgroup, Profmed Gap cover schemes - Discovery, Sirago, Stratum, ZestLife Wellness programmes - Vitality, Multiply
At least 5 Years of experience within a similar role. Mandarin speaking ideal but not essential. A well-developed knowledge of principles and practices within a technical/professional field. The ability to analyse data from medical schemes and competently and objectively present the findings to clients. The ability to assist with the wellness strategy of clients. A good knowledge of policy wordings. Skills and Attributes: Well-developed analytical skills, i.e. problem-solving, potential problem analysis, decision analysis. Well-developed ability to work in and contribute to teams constructively. Well-developed spoken and written communication skills. Proficiency in Mandarin would be advantageous. Well-developed influencing and persuading skills. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Computer literacy - Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Comparemed web application. Medical schemes broker portal functionalities. HubSpot CRM. Experience: At least 5 years experience in a similar or related role. Extensive healthcare experience. A proven record of achievement as a consultant.
R35,000-R40,000 CTC per month, Negotiable commensurate with level of experience/skill/capability
Commissions on new business brought in. Negotiable
