Our client seeks Chefs for their Pastry Chef department. We are seeking a Senior Pastry Chef and a More Junior Commis Pastry Chef.
The Hotel has been newly renovated and serves high end international clientele. They are looking to bulk up their Pastry Team and as such are looking for a Good Senior Pastry Chef to run the Pastry Kitchen and ensure that all F&B outlets get top quality Dessert and Bread and Pastry Offerings made from scratch on site. There is a Banqueting Department catering for up to 150 pax, a Restaurant as well as Room Service and Conferencing. Full Service Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
We are seeking a more junior Commis Pastry chef – recently graduated potentially from the Hurst Campus or similar establishment with an interest in pastry and some solid foundation in patisserie. Chef would prefer to train and mold.
Relevant Patisserie and/or Professional Cookery/Culinary Arts Qualifications will prove advantageous.
Senior Chef: Good Leadership skills. Able to drive and manage pastry department well. Good training skills. Talented with Chocolate and Sugar work. Able to produce quality desserts to high international standards. Junior Chef: Good foundation knowledge of pastry. Strong interest in same. Able and willing to learn and grow with a new team.
R6000-R25000 Negotiable dependent on experience.
Offering R6000-R8000 for Commis/Chef de partie and R20,000-R25,0000 for more senior Pastry Chef. Candidates must live in the Helderberg area or be willing to relocate to the region at own cost. This is a live out role.
