Job Description

Our client is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team.

• Financial Accounting.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Financial Systems Management.
• Administer and optimize financial systems, such as accounting software and ERP systems.
• Tax Compliance and Tax Planning.
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax, VAT, and other relevant taxes.
• Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Support.
• Assist in financial due diligence for potential acquisitions, including financial statement analysis and review.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, financial forecasting, and budgeting.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Audit Support.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA(SA)

Skills

• 8 to 10 years’ post articles
• Experience in construction and/or civil engineering
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Expertise in financial systems and proficiency with accounting software ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with experience in tax planning and compliance.
• Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions processes and due diligence.
• High degree of accuracy in financial reporting.
