Job Description

You will be responsible for the following in the main:

  • The responsibilities include evaluating project requirements and achieving sales objectives aligned with costing, time, and resource targets.
  • Ensuring the attainment of monthly sales budgets.
  • Estimate costs and prepare competitive quotations and tenders.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide direction to the project installation/manufacturing team.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop the project plan and oversee task performance.
  • Report on project evaluation and assess results for management review.
  • Provide technical guidance for development, design, and systems integration.
  • Present reports detailing project progress, problems, and solutions.
  • Continuously monitor and report on project progress to management and contracts management pre-installation.
  • Lead contract negotiations.
  • Take the lead in planning, pricing, and implementing multiple projects.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Foster strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Drive and oversee project timelines and deliverables.
  • Pay meticulous attention to detail in evaluating mechanical equipment for projects.
  • Identify project opportunities and constraints.
  • Handover detailed schedules of materials, equipment, and manufactured items with costs to the project team.
  • Define project tasks and determine optimal resource requirements.
  • Create comprehensive project plans.
  • Coordinate project staff and manage the project budget.

Qualifications

  • Matric
  • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering

Skills

  • 5-10 years of experience in cost and project management
  • Proficient in Ms. Project and various project management software.
  • Non-negotiable requirement: Proven experience in process design.
  • Familiarity with water treatment practices.
  • Demonstrated success in procuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Direct work experience in an engineering management role.
  • Essential skills encompass people management and strategic planning.

Salary / Package

R 800 000 to R1,000,000 CTC
