Employer Description

38 sleeper lodge that specializes in weddings and functions in Hartbeespoort. The lodge is closed in Mondays and Tuesdays. Working hours Wednesday - Sunday (if no functions then staff leave at 4pm).  On functions days the chef is required to remain until after dessert is served.

Job Description

Beautiful Wedding and Function venue in Hartbeespoort seeks a Head Chef to fully run the kitchen.  They specialize in Buffet and Plated meals for up to 300 pax.

Menu planning.

Cost Controls.


Stock Controls.

Preparation of meals.

Management of staff (8).

Own transport essential as accommodation provided is about 6km away from the lodge.


Professional cookery diploma


At least 5 experience in similar role with experience in plated and buffet. Ability to manage staff and oversee the kitchen. This is a very hands on role and although the Head Chef will handle the admin they must be willing to be involved in cooking of the food.

Salary / Package

R25000 - R30000
