Job Description

Your responsibilities will be the following:

• Review product viability by assessing drawings received for new products
• Attain weight calculations from the drawing office.
• Determine pattern times/machines via pattern shop.
• Request shipping quotes from agents.
• Request machining quotations from machine shops.
• Prepare cost sheets for all of the above.
• Prepare and submit quotations to the salesperson or directly to the customer.
• Save received drawings on the register and liaise with the drawing office manager if revision notifications are applicable.
• Check and update drawing revisions.
• Create/link w/o items as products and standards.
• Confirm moulding line and quantities.
• Verify and add customer requirements (QA, packing, painting, etc.).
• Distribute the customer QCP requirements internally

Qualifications

• Matric
• MDDOP (N5) certificate or equivalent preferred

Skills

• 2 years or more relevant experience in a similar role or previous draughtsperson role
• Strong understanding of cost estimation and quotation processes
• Proficiency in Synchro or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or equivalent required.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Salary / Package

R23,000 - R30,000 CTC PM (Negotiable)
