Job Description

Our client is urgently seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with good working knowledge and experience on Sage to fill a temporary position for 3 months, with the possibility of it being permanent should the candidate prove successful long-term.

You will be responsible for:

  • Handling of general accounting queries
  • Organizing and maintaining financial records
  • Daily capturing of payments received in AR (Accounts Receivable)
  • Monthly adjustment of Debtors ledger / (AR)
  • Creditors management
  • Processing payments and reconciliations, weekly and monthly
  • Preparation and processing of monthly journals and accruals
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Bank Management via SAGE Bank Manager
  • Timex (inhouse billing program) batch imports
  • Foreign currency (FX) payments – Standard Bank
  • Credit cards – monthly recons
  • Travel expenses – monthly recons

Qualifications

A tertiary accounting qualification.

Skills

The successful candidate must have:

  • Min 5 - 10 years experience in a similar role

Salary / Package

Up to R23 000 CTC per month
