Our client is in the Logistics industry within a Freight Forwarding environment.

Job Description

You will be expected to perform the following Key Functions: 

• Update the Ocean Freight Daily Shipment Register.
• Load pre alerts, send out pre alerts to the clients and Clearing Agents.
• Request suppliers’ invoices and packing lists once pre alerts received.
• Follow up on trans-shipments and requesting delay notices should shipment roll over.
• Update clients if shipment rolled over and miss trans-shipments.
• Request Foreign invoices from agents in the same week pre alert received.
• Request all local release invoices from air lines and Co-loaders.
• Send out Arrival Notices to clients and clearing Agents before flight arrives.
• Check all draft entries and advise Clearing department to submit the entry to customs.
• Post all Customs VAT and Duty charges.
• Check local invoices rates and post for payment.
• Make the necessary arrangements with client and transporters to ensure that the cargo/containers are collected in the free period and delivered to the client.
• Invoice all Import shipments and ensure that all the necessary cost is invoiced to the client on one invoice (as per client’s SOP).
• Dealing and resolving of all queries with clients and service providers

Qualifications

Senior certificate. Certificate/ Diploma in Logistics added advantage.

Skills

• At least 5 years’ relevant Sea Freight experience within the freight forwarding environment
• Knowledge of INCOTERMS.
