Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Vehicle and Asset Finance (VAF) Litigation Secretary to join its dynamic team.

The successful candidate will provide secretarial support within the Full Outstanding Balance (FOB) division of the firm’s Vehicle and Asset Finance department, supporting one attorney in a busy, fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing comprehensive secretarial support within the Vehicle and Asset Finance department.
  • Managing litigation files from instruction through to finalization.
  • Drafting and preparing legal documentation and correspondence.
  • Liaising with clients, attorneys, sheriffs and third parties.
  • Managing diaries, electronic filing systems and general administrative duties.
  • Assisting with matters relating to Full Outstanding Balance (FOB) recoveries.
  • Ensuring matters are progressed efficiently within a high-volume practice.
Qualifications
  • Matric.
  • Relevant Paralegal Diploma or Equivalent (advantageous).
Skills

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a Litigation Secretary within a Vehicle and Asset Finance (VAF) environment.
  • Previous experience dealing with Vehicle and Asset Finance recoveries and collections is essential.
  • Experience with Nedbank MFC matters will be highly advantageous.
  • Experience working on the Vertigo system will be advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Salary/Package
Negotiable, depending on experience.
