Manage end-to-end procurement activities, ensuring the timely sourcing and purchasing of goods and services in line with business requirements.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and service agreements to achieve cost savings and maximise value for the business.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while identifying and onboarding new suppliers to improve competitiveness and supply continuity.
Monitor supplier performance against agreed service levels and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Oversee all stores operations, including receiving, issuing, stock control, and inventory management processes.
Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, stock takes, variance investigations, and corrective measures.
Manage daily MRP activities to maintain optimal stock levels and support uninterrupted operational requirements.
Coordinate the processing of purchase orders and ensure the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and consumables.
Expedite outstanding orders and resolve supply chain issues to minimise operational disruptions.
Analyse procurement spends, market trends, and supplier quotations to identify cost reduction and value improvement opportunities.
Prepare and present accurate procurement, inventory, and supplier performance reports to management.
Lead, coach, and support procurement and stores personnel to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high-performance standards.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and stores functions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Contribute towards achieving national procurement savings targets through strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and cost optimisation initiatives.
Qualifications
Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
Skills
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in procurement and stores management.
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
Strong supplier negotiation and cost management experience.
Experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industrial environments.
Engineering qualifications or technical background would be highly advantageous.
Automotive industry experience will be beneficial.
Proven track record of achieving procurement savings and process improvements.
Strong working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems.
Experience with Fraxion and Accpac will be advantageous.
