Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer for major platinum mining project currently in the execution phase in Sub-Saharan Africa.

This role is responsible for providing mechanical engineering expertise throughout the project lifecycle, supporting engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness activities to ensure successful project delivery.

The position will be primarily based in Johannesburg, with travel to the Project site in Sub-Saharan Africa as required to support engineering, construction, commissioning and operational readiness activities.

During plant commissioning, this role will be required to be on site to lead and oversee commissioning (C1-C5) activities within their areas of responsibility and provide technical leadership to site teams.

Travel requirements will vary depending on project phases and operational requirements.
