• Preparing detailed cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project scope
• Conducting feasibility studies and cost planning to optimize project budgets
• Monitoring and controlling expenses, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs
• Administering contracts and advising on legal and contractual matters
• Liaising with clients, contractors, site managers, architects, and engineers to ensure smooth project execution
• Tracking project progress, reviewing interim valuations, and updating budgets as plans evolve
• Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential financial or construction risks
• Maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation for all project-related costs and materials
• Advising on value engineering, procurement strategies, and cost-saving measures without compromising quality
A degree in quantity surveying, construction engineering, or related fields
• 5 – 10 years’ experience in asphalt, earthworks and civil engineering
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills to manage complex budgets
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, regulations, and building codes
• Negotiation and communication skills for dealing with contractors, clients, and stakeholders
• Proficiency in construction estimating and project management software
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and adapt to changing project requirements
