Job Description
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on press tools, dies, and associated tooling
Diagnose and repair tooling faults to minimize downtime
Strip, inspect, refurbish, and reassemble press tools
Carry out tool modifications and improvements to enhance performance and reliability of tools
Maintain accurate tool history and maintenance records in OEE system
Support new tool trials, setups, and commissioning when required
Ensure adherence to housekeeping and safety practices in the production and toolroom environment
Lead and train/support technicians or trainees in your work group
Qualifications
Qualified Toolmaker with recognized Trade Test Certificate
Skills
Minimum 5–10 years’ post apprenticeship experience in a press shop
Extensive knowledge of press tools and dies including blanking, forming, manual transfer tools and high-speed progression transfer tools. Knowledge of stainless-steel pressings would be advantageous
Ability to read and interpret technical part drawings, dimensional reports and CAD designs
Experience in manual machining (lathe, milling, grinding) and repair welding
Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be advantageous
Salary/Package
