Job Description

Our client has an opportunity for an experienced individual to join their team in the capacity of the R&D Technologist. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and produce laboratory and kitchen samples for new product development
  • Ensure adherence to product safety requirements, customer guidelines and applicable compliance regulations
  • Lead and contribute to continuous product improvement initiatives
  • Plan and coordinate product trials efficiently
  • Maintain and update NPD documentation to support accuracy and compliance
  • Gather and analyse quality information to refine formulations and manufacturing processes
  • Develop, update and communicate customer specifications to relevant departments.
  • Any other related duties
Qualifications
  • Matriculation
  • Degree/Diploma in Food Science or Consumer Science is preferred.

 

Skills
  • 3-5 years product development experience in the Food Industry
  • Comfortable handling and consuming meat products due to manufacturing requirements.
  • No allergies to wheat or gluten due to the manufacturing environment
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel
  • Should be a good team player
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to plan daily tasks efficiently

 

Salary/Package
R450k – R550 p/a (CTC)
