Our client has an opportunity for a senior person to join their team in the capacity of a Procurement Manager for Livestock. The successful Incumbent will be responsible for the following

• Develop and implement a strong procurement strategy and goal setting for all field personnel
• Ensure all farmers know and understand the Livestock needs and buy into the supply strategy
• Responsible for the roll out of strategic procurement actions farmers, Calendar farmer, animal feed manufacturers and animal medicine companies to share and support the client strategies
• Maintain open and good relationships with identified stakeholders in the red meat value chain in all areas
• Purchase Price Management
• Full responsibility for total procurement needs including slaughter ready lamb and beef; weaner lamb and beef; protocol sourcing; informal markets
• Managing the weekly slaughter and procurement schedule for abattoirs
