A graduate in Civil Engineering from Wits University, Philip practised for 4 years in his field of study and then did some benevolent work for some 8 years around the world where he gained excellent experience in dealing with diverse people across a wide range of sectors to include Governments, NGO’s, Private Companies. Shortly after he returned to South Africa in 1982, he founded PCS in 1983 and the company has for the last 34 years grown from strength to strength in providing superlative service to their Clients & Candidates covering various sectors of the industry.
Lesley Holm has an Honours Degree in Biological Sciences and a Higher Diploma in Food Technology. She left the food industry after 18 years having risen to Business Unit Management level and has been at PCS for 7 years where she is responsible for the overall management of the various Recruitment Sections.
With a background both in HR and as a Recruiter, Queeneth is well placed to care for the company’s future and at the same time care for the staff. She is interested in assisting the staff in developing their skills and always has time for them.
Simon – whilst leading his section – has also been recruiting in the engineering and construction sectors for over 8 years. Before this he worked in the construction industry as a SHE Consultant for a consulting firm. His main speciality has been in the civil engineering field, sourcing Foremen to Senior Managers, Design Engineers/Technicians, Resident Engineers etc. in South Africa, Africa & Middle East.
Jean has been with PCS for 13 years and started her career recruiting for the Hospitality industry. Due to her love of travel she moved over to head up the Travel recruitment division. She strives to assist candidates in developing their career and clients in finding their ideal employees.
Angela Aveyard joined PCS as a Specialist Recruiter in May 2002 in our Hospitality Division and, due to her many years of experience as a Specialist Recruiter and her numerous contacts within the Legal industry on a personal level, she started the Legal Division at PCS in 2012 and we have been specializing in legal placements since. She now heads up the Hospitality & Legal Departments, working hand in hand with our specialist recruiters in both of these sectors ensuring we provide the best service possible to our Clients and Applicants.
Bev comes with 7 years of experience in the construction industry and worked as an estimator for 2 well-known construction companies. She has been at PCS for 3 years now. With the rest of her team who are also from the industry, they are in a position to provide a superlative & insightful service to employers & career seekers alike.
With a background in recruitment & a BEE compliance firm, he joined PCS as a Specialist Recruiter for Construction & Engineering sector and was made responsible for Professional Career Services Durban. He has been successfully servicing the above mentioned sectors for over the last 5 years.
Having worked as a Supply Chain and Distribution Specialist for over 8 years in a corporate firm, Bruce started in recruitment by opening up the PE branch of PCS. He now has almost 10 years of experience in recruiting for the Construction & related industries.
Gina Pond started her career with PCS some 9 years ago as an Assistant to the Construction Department. Having an SLP in Sales and Marketing, she has for the last several years been in charge of promotion. She is instrumental in bringing to the attention of our various Clients across our various niche markets the top caliber of Selected Candidates who have been screened, interviewed & reference checked by our Specialist Recruiters thus acting as a catalyst for their expansion.
Geraldine Du Plessis has had more than 10 years working in the Recruitment Industry. She joined PCS as the Relationship Manager in 2016. With a positive attitude and a passion for people & for assisting Client Companies, she works closely with the PCS Recruiters to ensure that PCS maintains long & mutually beneficial relationship with PCS Clients.
Leverne has been in the Engineering Recruitment Sector for more than 19 years and has been an Engineering Recruitment Specialist for 16 years . Her foundation in technical recruitment started in 1997 with a Labour Broking Company, where she worked herself up to Consulting and eventually to heading a team of Engineering Consultants. Having been in the industry for so many years, she fully understands the industry and the recruitment processes related to technical recruitment from artisan level to senior managers.
