Reporting to the Production Manager, You will be responsible for:
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and adhere to all safety requirements, policies and procedures of the company
• Adherence to plant maintenance schedule
• Measure and monitor the effectiveness of the maintenance activities to ensure better MTBF
• Monitor critical machine spares availability and lead times
• Manage contractors to complete work on schedule to appropriate standards
• Work hands on and lead from the front approach
• Improve equipment availability and reliability
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects
• Cost control of the allocated budget
• Mentoring and identify opportunities for upskilling of staff
• Minimum N4 in Electrical / Electro-Mechanical
• Trade Tested in Millwright or Electrictrician
• Minimum of 5 years post trade test work experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or leadership role in an FMCG manufacturing environment
• Experience in a plastics injection moulding manufacturing environment essential
• Practical experience in fault finding, industrial electronics, variable speed drives, servo motors, PLC controls, pneumatics & Advanced hydraulics systems, interpret and read electrical and hydraulic schematic diagrams
• Experience on SAP or other ERP system would be advantageous
• Microsoft Office skills
• Comply with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System procedures and instructions
