Installation, assembly, and wiring of electrical enclosures, control panels, and distribution boards.
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
Mounting and connecting circuit breakers, contactors, relays, timers, PLC components, and terminal blocks.
Performing single-phase and three-phase panel wiring in accordance with electrical standards and specifications.
Testing, fault-finding, and commissioning electrical enclosures to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Installing cable glands, trunking, conduit systems, and cable management solutions within enclosures.
Conducting maintenance, repairs, and component replacements on electrical control panels and switchgear.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and customer specifications.
Verifying voltage, continuity, insulation resistance, and functionality using electrical testing instruments.
Qualifications
Trade Tested Electrician or N qualification in Electrical Engineering
Skills
Min 3-5 yrs experience with exposure in mining (advantage) with exposure working on MCC, DB wiring, joints, transformers, soft starters
Skilled in single-phase and three-phase electrical wiring
Salary/Package
R80 p/h – R90 p/h
