Job Description

Your duties will encompass:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of all training cohorts from Foundation through to Trade Test in line with published outcome standards
  • Drive and maintain high first-attempt trade-test pass rates as the primary academic performance metric
  • Track, measure, and report learner placement outcomes at 3- and 6-month intervals post-qualification
  • Take full accountability for campus financial performance, including revenue, margin, and EBITDA against plan
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with 6–12 anchor employers, ensuring consistent engagement and placement pipelines
  • Ensure pre-selling of at least 60% of funded seats ahead of each intake and maximize class fill rates
  • Manage and maintain active operational relationships with MERSETA and QCTO representatives
  • Ensure continuous audit readiness and compliance with all accreditation and regulatory requirements
  • Lead, manage, and develop campus staff, fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and safety
  • Oversee implementation and maintenance of QMS, OHS, and safeguarding policies
  • Own and actively manage the campus risk register, mitigating operational and compliance risks
  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and optimize learner progression, retention, and completion rates across programmes
  • Ensure alignment between training delivery and employer skill requirements within the local market
  • Operate the campus as a high-performance environment with a strong focus on execution, systems, and measurable outcomes

 

Qualifications
  • Red Seal artisan or mechanical/industrial engineering qualification with strong workshop-floor experience
Skills

 

  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in technical training and/or manufacturing operations at HOD or Centre Manager level
  • Proven delivery in an accredited training environment with working knowledge of QCTO, MERSETA and SETA funding models
  • Demonstrated ability to build and run a programme, department, or facility from inception
  • Strong operational, systems, and P&L ownership mindset
  • Ability to engage credibly with shopfloor leadership

 

Salary/Package
R40k – R50k CTC
