Our client specializes in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Job Description

You will be responsible for technical leadership, engineering oversight, and the development of compliant renewable energy solutions across Solar PV and BESS projects. The role includes system design, modelling, simulation, BOQ generation, technical review, and the mentorship and professional development of junior engineers within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical excellence, regulatory knowledge, and a commitment to engineering best practice, continuous improvement, and technical guidance across engineering teams.

Qualifications
  • BSc/BEng Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineer Registration (Pr Eng) with ECSA is required.
Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering and technical sales experience.
  • Proven experience in engineering design, technical solution development, system modelling and technical analysis.
  • Experience within the Commercial & Industrial BESS and Solar PV market.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, system design methodologies, technical documentation, and project environments.
  • Knowledge of South African electrical, renewable, and grid code compliance standards including NRS requirements, SANS standards and applicable regulations relating to Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  • Proficiency in engineering modelling and simulation software.
  • Experience in renewable energy system analysis, yield assessments, grid compliance assessments, and technical feasibility studies is advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required
Salary/Package
R900K – R1,2M CTC per annum
