Bachelors or Honours degree in Industrial Engineering, Data Science or Applied Mathematics
Formal certification in Continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt).
Skills
5 years work experience in Advanced Analytics or Quantitative Engineering, designing dashboards and simulation;
5 years proven work experience analyzing material flows within heavy industries (e.g. mining, port terminals, bulk rail or heavy logistics)
Clear understanding of physical asset-management frameworks, including equipment availability, reliability and maintenance scheduling
Advanced proficiency in industrial simulation environments (e.g. AnyLogic, Simio, FlexSim or Arena);
Competency in Java, Python R or C++ alongside proficient SQL relational database querying;
Advanced mastery of industrial statistics, queueing theory, probability modelling and data-fitting technologies;
Proficiency in building operational reporting systems within corporate BI tools (e.g. Power BI or Tableau).
