Job Description

Our client is seeking a Banqueting Co‑ordinator to ensure the seamless organization and delivery of conventions, functions and events within a dynamic hospitality environment. This role requires a proactive professional with strong administrative, communication and customer service skills, capable of balancing operational efficiency with exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration: Accurately and efficiently manage all administrative requirements of the banqueting department.
  • Communication: Proactively liaise with groups and internal departments to ensure smooth coordination of conventions and functions.
  • Customer service: Maintain excellent service levels in handling bookings, amendments, feedback, and site inspections.
  • Sales & marketing: Identify and maximize opportunities within established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Collaboration: Facilitate effective cooperation across departments to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
  • Teamwork: Work independently or as part of a team to deliver consistently high‑quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 with strong numeracy, verbal and written English skills.
  • At least 2 years’ hospitality experience, including a minimum of 1 year in a reservations environment.
  • Must reside in Cape Town or Surrounds
Skills
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Accuracy in documentation, scheduling and guest requirements.
Salary/Package
R22 200 CTC
