Job Description
Co-ordinating of daily events in the maintenance department.
Guide and supervise maintenance personnel in their job functions when needed.
Organise and document daily maintenance schedules involving each of the maintenance personnel with their specific tasks.
Develop on going routine and preventative maintenance schedules.
Ensure the required critical spares for the required machinery is on hand when needed.
Evaluate Suppliers and prices on an ongoing basis applicable to scope of work.
Develop ongoing programs to improve production output, product quality and safety on the machines.
Compile a budget forecast when needed.
Ensure the desired standards of House Keeping, Health and Safety is maintained.
Develop a tool register and ensure the tools are in a well-maintained state.
Establish ongoing programs with methods of up grading the machinery to improve the production output and safety.
Qualifications
Grade 12
N5 Technical qualification with recognized Trade Test.
Skills
Have minimum of 8 years working experience maintaining and repairing roll mills, paintlines, welding equipment, electrical, pneumatics
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a maintenance foreman in the steel manufacturing industry.
Be versatile with the Suppliers of the specific machine spare parts and know what critical spares to keep on hand.
Be versatile with the range of products produced identifying what is acceptable quality, produced by the machines and also non-conforming product that could occur due to the machinery.
Have an understanding of Industrial Relations.
 Knowledge of ISO 9001 Standards.
Salary/Package
R35 000 – R38 000 Per month
