Perform planned, preventive, and breakdown maintenance on extrusion lines, ovens, chill rolls, pumps, compressors, material handling systems, mixers, and associated plant equipment
Diagnose and repair faults on PLCs, VSDs, motors, instrumentation, control panels, sensors and plant electrical systems while driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and plant uptime
Report any hazards or failings in the health and safety system by utilising the near-miss reporting system
Responsible for Scheduled Maintenance Activities
Experience with both AC and DC motors and drives
Qualifications
Trade Test Electrician (Red Seal) or equivalent recognised Electrical Artisan qualification
Matric
Skills
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably plastics extrusion, sheet manufacturing, chemical processing or continuous process industries
PLC, VSD, and industrial automation training advantageous
Maintenance Planning
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation and electrical safety standards
Salary/Package
R20,000 – R25,000 per month
